Start the School Year on the right foot with a series of parenting seminars that will help you put
some new tools in your parenting toolbox! During this week of seminars at various churches
and schools, parenting expert, Mark Gregston, will focus his time on building deeper
relationships, improving communication skills, and connecting with your teens.
Beginning on Sunday, August 23 rd , the East Texas 2020 week of parenting seminars will start at
Longview’s Mobberly Baptist Church. On Monday the 24 th , the event will be held at the Spring
Hill Intermediate School on Spring Hill Road. The seminars on Tuesday, August 25 th will be held
as a breakfast meeting at Alpine Church of Christ, located at 610 E. Loop 281. That night, the
seminar will be held in the High School Cafeteria at the Gilmer High School. Wednesday’s
event, on the 26 th , will be held at New Beginnings Baptist Church located at 2137 George Richey
Road in Longview. And rounding off a wonderful week of helping parents, the Thursday
seminar will be held specifically for grandparents at First Baptist Church Longview as an
afternoon seminar from 4:00 top 6:00 pm.
Mark Gregston is the founder and Executive Director of Heartlight, as residential counseling
center located on Highway 80 between Longview and Hallsville. He has lived there for 30+
years, helping over 3,000 teens and families resolve the issues that have torn their families
apart. He brings his expertise, wit, and wisdom, to this seminar week, instead of hosting their
typical fund-raising concert series that’s been held in Longview the last 15 years. These
seminars are free to all in hopes of helping the parents in East Texas start the 2020 school year
off on the right foot.
