Coach Salter wrote: Mia does everything that is asked of her. Even when she was sick and her mom was on her way to pick her up, she wanted to be in class to prepare for a test that was coming up.
Mrs. Langford wrote: Tripp is always smiling and is happy. He is very kind, respectful, and a hard worker.

Mrs. Salter wrote: Danica has gone out of her way to make sure that she has her work done. If she doesn’t understand something she asks. She uses her time wisely and finds things to work on her time. She is positive and kind to her classmates and very respectful during class.
Mrs. Salter wrote: Xavier is always respectful and kind. He pays attention in class and is helpful to his classmates. He stays on top of his grades and assignments.
Harmony Junior High is looking for a Math Interventionist for the 2023-2024 school year. (Full or Part time)
This person will support the district’s 6-8 Instructional Math program to ensure academic improvement and student success. The focus of the position is on Instructional interventions for struggling students and teacher support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Valid Texas Teacher Certification appropriate for area assigned
Knowledge of curriculum, design and implementation
Knowledge of state curriculum and assessments
Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Harmony Junior High started the Too Good for Drugs program this week. The students learned about goal setting, team work, and steps to creating positive goals.
Harmony Junior High: The pep rally this week has been moved to 11:50am on Thursday. The theme this week is patriotic. We cannot wait to cheer on our HJH Eagles as they play in Dekalb this week!

Harmony Junior High students met for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) kickoff meeting. They were served a pancake breakfast and discussed the upcoming year.

Junior High Volleyball
Thursday 8/24, the Junior High girls will have their first game of the season. It is at home against Winona. We will play 3 matches- 8B, 7A, 8A starting at 4:30. All tickets will be sold online on the Harmony ISD main page under Home Town Tickets.
Homecoming is next Friday, September 1!
Junior High will celebrate next Friday's game by having spirit days all next week! Students are invited to participate to show our spirit for the Varsity Eagles as they get ready to Smoke the Oak in the battle against White Oak! Go Eagles

Harmony Junior High is actively recruiting UIL participants! This week students will be asked to complete a google form to indicate interest in a variety of UIL events. We hope that you encourage your child to participate in UIL!
Events include art, science, math, listening skills, oral reading and so many more!
Once a student makes the team, please be on the lookout for a note and some study hints from their UIL coach!
