Harmony Junior High Teachers and Staff have selected our November Students of the Month for 8th Grade. We are proud of Savannah Steelman and Xaeden Spencer! Their teachers said the following great things about them. Mrs. Langford wrote: Savannah is always smiling and brings joy to any room she steps in. She is such a bright and positive kid. Savannah is always respectful, kind, and has a big heart. Mrs. Robertson wrote: Savannah is SO kind, SO respectful, SO caring, and just all around a wonderful student. Mrs. Salter wrote: Xaeden works very hard and always tries to do the right thing in class. He is a great leader for his peers when it comes to making good decisions. He is quiet, smart, funny and a joy to have in class.

Their teachers said the following great things about them. Mrs. McAfee said: Bricklyn loves to help others. She works hard and is well behaved. Harmony Junior High All-Region Choir On Saturday, October 21, 2023, students from Harmony Junior High auditioned into the Region 4 All-Region Choir which will perform at Mount Pleasant High School Auditorium on Saturday, November 4. They competed with other Texas Music Educators’ Association Region 4 schools including Pine Tree, Marshall, Gladewater, Kilgore, White Oak, Paris, Mount Pleasant, Texarkana, Sulphur Springs, and Commerce, among others. The All-Region Junior High Choir students will rehearse on November 4, with outstanding choral directors from across Texas and present a concert in the afternoon. All-Region choir students will receive an All-Region patch after the concert. Harmony JH students auditioning into the choir are: Devany Aguilar, Soprano 2 Jason Coronel, Bass Emmalynn Cortez, Soprano 2 Brooklyn Garcia, Alto 1 Theodore Montera, Bass Madyson Nix, Alto 1 Schafer, Eve, Soprano 1 Phebie Shaw, Soprano 1

Junior High Choir students will be auditioning for All-Region Choir. The JH choir students will be traveling to Sulphur Springs Middle School on Saturday, October 21, to audition for the Region 4 Middle School All-Region Choir. Let's wish them all GOOD LUCK!

HJH students- Make plans to attend Fields of Faith next Wednesday. It begins at 7:00pm at Eagle Field. Come listen to our students as they share their faith and challenge us to apply the Bible as a game plan for life. All students are invited to attend.

Even when she was sick and her mom was on her way to pick her up, she wanted to be in class to prepare for a test that was coming up. Mrs. Langford wrote: Tripp is always smiling and is happy. On Bentlee- Mrs. Henson wrote: Bentlee is always polite and respectful. He is eager to help others, is a very good student. He always gets his work done and is always prepared to learn. Their teachers said the following great things about them! Mrs. Salter wrote: Danica has gone out of her way to make sure that she has her work done. If she doesn’t understand something she asks. She uses her time wisely and finds things to work on her time. She is positive and kind to her classmates and very respectful during class. Mrs. Salter wrote: Xavier is always respectful and kind. He pays attention in class and is helpful to his classmates. He stays on top of his grades and assignments.

Harmony Junior High is looking for a Math Interventionist for the 2023-2024 school year. (Full or Part time) This person will support the district’s 6-8 Instructional Math program to ensure academic improvement and student success. The focus of the position is on Instructional interventions for struggling students and teacher support.
